FEES

Individual Therapy

50-minute session: $175

Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes.

Couples Therapy

50-minute session: $225
75-minute session: $325
100-minute session: $425

Couples often benefit from having more time to slow down difficult conversations and allow both partners to fully participate. While 50-minute sessions are available, many couples choose 75 or 100-minute sessions depending on their needs and goals.

We can determine together which session length makes the most sense for you.

Discernment Counseling

Discernment Counseling is a short-term, structured process of up to five sessions for couples who are uncertain about the future of their relationship.

Session 1, up to 2 hours: $500
Sessions 2 through 5, up to 90 minutes: $350 per session

Because Discernment Counseling is structured differently from traditional couples therapy, sessions include both time together as a couple and individual time with each partner.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.

Depending on your plan, you may have out-of-network mental health benefits that reimburse a portion of your therapy costs. I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network behavioral health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement for therapy services.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, FSA and HSA debit cards as individual plans allow.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Can I use my insurance?

I accept all health savings account (HSA) and flex spending account (FSA) credit and debit cards. I do not accept Medicaid and I do not work directly with insurance providers. Although I do not accept insurance directly, you can utilize your insurance for counseling services with me as an out of network provider. In this case, you pay me directly for services and I will provide you with a receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about out of network options within your plan.
